Charlton is an accomplished Cloud, Web and Product development professional with a proven track record of driving strategy, product and operational initiatives to success. As a Technology Strategist and Platform Architect, he has delivered and driven Cloud strategy and architecture for Intel platforms. Previously, Charlton was a Principal Architect and Technology Evangelist at Macromedia and Adobe Systems, where he helped develop Flex and AIR, the two most innovative technologies for Web and Rich Services Cloud, taking them from ideation through to widespread deployment. Before Macromedia, Charlton was a Lead Architect and Program Manager for Web platforms and BPO at webMethods, and Computer Scientist and Senior Staff Architect for Enterprise and Distributed Software platforms at Borland. Charlton received a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science for his research in distributed network management from Columbia University.
